Snickers should be its own food group

I am not a nutritionist.  Not even close.  I eat cold Chinese food more often than is really a good idea (even though I know it gives me the hiccups) and I like cold fried chicken as well.  I am a southern girl who drinks real Coke and sweet tea.  Not a lot but when I want to.  I try to have a healthy relationship with my appetite and cravings otherwise, I will spend tons of time denying myself and then I’ll freak out and eat a stick of butter at 2am.

So today I want a Snickers….hmmm…Snickers…  snickersbrandI want the chocolate, the peanuts and the caramel…Snickers really satisfies…  Doesn’t that look exquisite?  Seriously, is that not the best 3 o’clock snack you’ve ever seen?

But as I went to put my money down for the chocolately goodness I saw a Luna bar and I felt bad.  Like guilty bad.  So I went online and did a comparison and really there is only a 100 calorie difference between a Luna bar and Snickers bar. Seriously!

According to Snickers.com,(yep they have their own website) a Snickers  has 280 calories and according to Lunabar.com, (they of course have their own website) the “caramel nut brownie” has 180 calories.   But that’s 100 extra calories you say!  Yes, it’s 100 calories extra but you get to eat a Snickers bar!

  1. Remember that old commercial from about 6 years ago that said Hungry Why Wait…since then I’ve always had a motto that a Snickers bar could be a meal replacement. I love them!! I just hate how they get stuck in your teeth!
